Esther Avila - "Excellence in Journalism" media award recipient - has more than 3,800 published articles and stories in trade journals, community newsletters, websites, newspapers, and magazines, including:

The Fresno Bee, Visalia Times Delta, Tulare Advance Register, Porterville Recorder, Madera Tribune, Tulare County Magazine, Discover Magazine, Overture Magazine, and international funeral industry magazines.

In addition to writing, she has recorded several television and radio commercials over the past two years in English and Spanish for the Bakersfield Californian.

The award-winning journalist enjoys writing about travel, American History, art, music, and human-interest stories. She especially enjoys covering marching and concert band stories and has traveled with, and written about, marching bands on several tours across the country.
